Tour 1 : "CASTELS IN TRANSILVANIA"
First we will visit the "Peles Castle" in Sinaia and definitely the most beautiful of the country.Then we go to "Bran" and visit the so-called "Dracula's Castle" wich was built in the 13th century.Finally we go to "Brasov", the biggest town in Transilvania wich has a lovely old medieval center(There you will have time to chill out).
Tour 2 : "Curtea de Arges and the REAL DRACULA CASTLE in Poienari"
Curtea de Arges was the second capital of Wallachia and lies some 150km nortwest of Bucharest.Inside of Curtea de Arges monastery lies the tombs of the former romanian royals,King Carol Iand his wife Elizabeth,as well as of King Ferdinand and his wife Mary.
We go further 40km and reach "Poienari Castle".There is the former home of Wallachian Prince Vlad Tepes(who is known now evrywhere as "Dracula") which can only be reached climbing some 1400 steps.
Tour 3 : "The salt mines of Slanic/Prahova"
Come with us to the "Disneyland of salt".Slanic lies around 90 km from Bucharest.There you will see the largest salt mine of Europe-220 m below the surface...
Tour 4 : "Mogosoaia's fallen LENIN"
Just 10 KM northwest of Bucharest,you will see the lovely Palace of Mogosoaia ,perhaps Wallchia's most important non-religious monument.It was built by Cosntantin Brancoveanu,a Wallachian prince as a residence for his family.The special thing was dumped on wasteground behind the Palace kitchens in 1989:The 5 meter-tall bronze body of LENIN!.
Tour 5 : "A day in Bulgaria:Ruse"
Just 70 KM south of Bucharest and after crossing the splendid Danube river,we reach the first place behind the border,the city of Ruse.Don't think there aren't enought places to visit in Romania so that we have to prompt Bulgaria instead - but when you don't have much time for travelling,it's a good opportunity to get a quick impression of Romania's neighbour...
